Passing the torch to Kate Bishop, Jeremy Renner reprises his role as Hawkeye Clint Barton. This series will debut soon on Disney+ and looks to be a non-stop action flick along the lines of Falcon & Winter Soldier.
More than just the baton handoff, this series will first of all introduce Kate Bishop, the wildly popular new Hawkeye who features prominently in the Young Avengers. Her first appearance happens to be in Young Avengers #1 which has already skyrocketed in value over the past year. Other notables are issue 7 as well as the first issue of her own series. All variants of this book are through the roof.
Next up, don't forget the post-credit scene in Black Widow where Val showed the picture of Clint to Yelena Belova and basically told her he was her next hit. So, Florence Pugh will be back in Hawkeye and we're assuming there will be some tense scenes between her and Renner. Inhumans Volume 2, #5 in high grades shot up after Black Widow came out and if this goes well expect another bump after this series hits.
Finally, this series also acts as the debut of the new Echo character from the pages of Daredevil. The first deaf superhero, Echo is supposed to lead to her own spinoff series but it was announced recently she will appear first in Hawkeye. That immediately sent copies of Daredevil Volume 2 #9 and #10 (1st cameo and 1st full appearance of Echo) through the roof with raw copies commanding over $200 each in some auctions.
Needless to say there are a ton of great buying opportunities when it comes to Hawkeye, with no fewer than 4 major characters featured including 3 modern age future-classics.
